Commercial Contracts Attorney (Principal Level)

Location: Seattle, WA | Spokane, WA | Portland, OR | Washington, D.C. | New York, NY
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $200,000 - $325,000 (commensurate with experience)

Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney to join a leading law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney with a strong background in commercial contracts and a portable book of business to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative legal team.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial contracts, including Manufacturing Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Sales Broker Agreements, and more.
• Advise business clients across multiple industries on contract law, risk management, and compliance.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently while providing high-quality legal counsel.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s offices to support client needs.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial contracts law, with a focus on consumer goods and/or consumer products industries.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license to practice law.
• Portable book of business required.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
